
1:24 scale garage diorama; WIP, depicting a Citroen Mehari on a 3D resin printed two post vehicle lift. 2D photos of the wall have been made 3D using coffee stirrers. Garage roller shutter is mounted on magnets so can be displayed in the lowered or raised position. Lighting is 3D printed as are the welder, trolly jacks, inspection trolly and pigeons just outside the window. Front wheel can be attached/detached following the modification with magnets. Lighting and welder LED’s are controlled with a microprocessor hidden inside the recycled Ferrero Rocher box.



I had been given a number of Dinky Toys one of which was a Triumph Herald in a very battered condition.
Not having done anything new for the 1963 theme , I checked and found that the car was around in 63 so good start.
Then I had a flashback to my Grandfather driving me in his car through VERY deep snow.











Peel P50 made from 1962 to 1965 on the Isle of Man 137cm long x 99cm wide holds Guinness World Record for smallest production car ever made. In 2010 Peel Engineering started production again – additions include reverse gear, 49cc four-stroke or electric models with electric moped motor and gelled-electrolyte batteries. It was 3D printed from a file I purchased online.
Messerschmitt KR200 or Kabinenroller (Cabin Scooter), is a three-wheeled bubble car designed by the aircraft engineer Fritz Fend and produced in the factory of the German aircraft manufacturer Messerschmitt from 1955 until 1964. Passengers ride in tandem.
BMW Isetta 300 Made between 1953-56 in numerous countries. In 1955, the BMW Isetta became the world's first mass-production car to achieve a fuel consumption of 94 mpg. Gunze Sangyo produced this in 1994 and was sold as a pair.
Electronics. Above models are all fitted with 0402 nano LEDS for external lights, indicators, and number plate lights. Each trike is controlled by its own Picaxe 14M2 microcontroller mounted on a bespoke PCB. Power is supplied from an 18650 lithium battery that is recharged via a USB cable.
Base. The base is made from a recycled Ferrero Rocher box.



Displayed in a small Ferrero Rocher box 140mm x 65mm x 75mm, the 6’ x 2’ table is 3D printed to scale with two layers of tissue paper wet with 50/50 mix of Mod Podge Matt and water. Because the last person to pack the club office didn’t fold the cloth right it’s got wrinkles – you can blame them!
Club banner along front of the table is screen printed from a photo, reduced to the right size and printed on a colour laser.
