The boat crashing through a 3 inch (18ft) wave formed from a polystyrene triangular 'wedge', coated lightweight coving adhesive for texture, and painted with a mixture Humbrol 66 (Grey) & 30 (Green) to give the sea-colour.

"Pibber" - PBR (Patrol Boat River)

Mach2 1/72nd scale kit of the 'Pibber' - the nickname for the PBR (Patrol Boat River) craft used by the US in the Vietnam War. The kit is almost straight out of the box

Fred replaced a couple of smaller delicate parts and added a little extra detail on the deck - oil drums, jerry cans, etc - and the bracing wires for the radar mast and for the flag - but that is all. He also added after-market decals which included the shark-mouth on the front.

Halcyon' 1/1 scale kit (long- since out of production) of a 'Facehugger' from the 1979 "Alien" movie starring Sigourney Weaver
